The Prosecutor General's Office filed corruption charges in Criminal Court against former Fenaka Corporation Managing Director Ahmed Saeed Mohamed and former Procurement Head Mariyam Deena Solih on December 26, 2024, for allegedly authorising MVR 848,000 in improper payments to Blazon Inc Private Limited.

The case concerns improper payments made to Blazon Inc Private Limited in 2018 under a contract without verification of completed work, thereby providing the company with an unfair advantage.

Ahmed Saeed faces charges of misusing official authority under Section 513(b) of the Penal Code. If convicted, he faces a basic sentence of 1 year, 7 months and 6 days imprisonment. Deena Solih faces the same charge with an identical potential sentence.

According to the PG Office, this misconduct resulted in a loss of MVR 848,000 to Fenaka Corporation.
