The Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) has launched the Pension Office Scholarship Programme 2025, aimed at developing professionals in the financial sector.

This fully funded, merit-based scholarship is open to the public, with fields of study announced annually. For 2025, the programme covers Financial Reporting and Analytics, Econometrics, and Actuarial Science.

The initiative aims to empower outstanding individuals to pursue higher education in strategic areas relevant to the Pension Office and the country’s financial sector.

The scholarship covers university application fees, tuition fees, airfare, visa costs, monthly stipend, establishment allowance, annual book allowance, medical insurance, and departure allowance. Applicants must enrol in programmes approved by the Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) at universities ranked among the top 200 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

For 2025, one undergraduate scholarship has been announced. The deadline for submitting applications is 4:00 p.m. on March 16, 2025. Interested applicants can visit the Pension Office website for further details.
