President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, the newly appointed President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Lebanon.

In an official message sent to Prime Minister Salam, President Dr Muizzu conveyed the well wishes of the Government and the people of the Maldives, expressing confidence in Lebanon’s progress under his leadership.

The Maldivian President highlighted the ties between the two nations, rooted in shared Islamic values and mutual interests.

Reaffirming the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations with Lebanon, President Dr Muizzu emphasised the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries.

He also extended his best wishes to the new Prime Minister, hoping for his strength and wisdom in guiding Lebanon towards peace and prosperity.
