The four individuals arrested for assaulting and threatening a house owner in Male’ city have been released without further charges.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that these four individuals broke into a Galolhu house, threatened and intimidated the owner, and caused damages to his property.

The four individuals involved, Mohamed Aflah, 23; Ibrahim Ahnaf, 21; Mohamed Azan, 23; and Ali Navaf, 21; were arrested on March 10.

After being held in police custody for almost a month, the criminal court ruled to release them on April 7.

According to the court's detention order report, the four men stated they visited the property to clean it, claiming that a friend was occupying the premises. They also denied accusations of causing any damage to the property. However, videos circulating on social media show the landlord being physically assaulted.
