The President’s Office has dismissed one senior official, accepted the resignation of another, and suspended the latter from a separate government role.

Izdhiyan Mohamed Maumoon has been dismissed from his position as Under Secretary for Strategic Communication at the President’s Office, with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Daud Ahmed Zilal has stepped down from his post as President of the Presidential Youth Advisory Board. His resignation has been formally accepted by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

In addition, Daud has been suspended without pay from his separate role as Under Secretary for Digital Strategy at the President’s Office. The suspension takes effect today.
