Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusaan, has stated that he aims to speed up police investigations with modern technology this year.

The Minister made the remarks while speaking at the official ceremony marking the 92nd anniversary of the Maldives Police Service. 

Highlighting that reforms are underway to reform the police service, Minister Ihusaan stated that the most important step is to bring all the government agencies related to national security under one roof. 

He also stated that he aims to deliver an effective and compassionate police service that remains close to people with modern technology this year.

Highlighting the efforts to prevent crimes, Minister Ihusaan stated that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is personally overseeing the implementation of special legislation aimed at preventing crimes.  

He stated that this marks the initial phase of establishing a transformative framework for law enforcement.
