President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attended the official luncheon hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, further strengthening the ties between the two leaders.

President Dr Muizzu attended this lunch during his official visit to Malaysia. It was hosted at the official residence of the Malaysian Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Anwar and President Dr Muizzu were accompanied by official members of the Malaysian and Maldivian delegations.

President Dr. Muizzu's visit to Malaysia highlights the strong and enduring bilateral ties between the two nations, underscoring their continued collaboration and shared commitment to strengthening their partnership.

Additionally, given the significant number of Maldivians residing in Malaysia for various purposes, one of the key aims of the President’s visit is to enhance collaboration in relevant areas, ensuring easier access to services for Maldivians and addressing their concerns.

Earlier today, the two leaders engaged in discussions focused on enhancing their bilateral relationship and identifying new opportunities for collaboration across various sectors. 

Following their talks, the two leaders issued a joint press conference and exchanged several  Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in areas such as tourism, sports, and health.
