President Dr Muizzu urges students abroad to uphold Islamic values

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on Maldivian students studying abroad to uphold the values of Islam and value the Maldivian core values.
The President made this appeal while addressing the Maldivian Community living in Malaysia yesterday.
Highlighting that it is easy for the youth to abandon their values, President Dr Muizzu reminded the youth that there is no real happiness away from Islam and Islamic values.
President Dr Muizzu encouraged Maldivian students to achieve academic excellence, noting that these accomplishments reflect themselves, their families, and their nation. He also called on Maldivian families to promote a strong sense of community among themselves.
During this function, President Dr Muizzu inaugurated ID Card, e-Passport services, and the Maldivian Students Association-Malaysia, highlighting the state’s responsibility to ensure ease for Maldivians residing abroad.
To facilitate additional services, the President announced that the Government would deposit USD 3,000 in Malaysian ringgits to the Student Association ever year. He further announced the Government’s plan to expand the Consular services provided.
This meeting was attended by Former President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan, his spouse Madam Ilham Hussain, members of the Maldivian delegation, and numerous Maldivian families and students.
