President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, Founder and Advisor of Berjaya Corporation Berhad on Tuesday, focusing discussions on investment opportunities in the Maldives, and strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Vincent Tan shared an overview of Berjaya Corporation’s current projects and expressed interest in expanding into the Maldivian market. President Dr Muizzu welcomed the interest, highlighting the tourism sector as a key area for collaboration.

The Ministers accompanying the President outlined investment prospects across various sectors, emphasising the Maldives’ strong air connectivity, ongoing infrastructure developments, and the supportive business environment for foreign investors.

Vincent Tan was joined by Berjaya’s Group CEO Syed Ali Shahul Hameed and Executive Assistant Maurice Daniel Chenn.
