Fourth round of Police Inspector Course commences in Addu City

The fourth round of the Police Inspector Course aimed at promoting officers of commissioned ranks within the Maldives Police Service has officially begun in Addu City.

The course commenced on April 26 and is being attended by 31 police officers, including 25 men and six women. It is being conducted by the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement and will run for a duration of eight weeks.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the programme is designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and professional competencies. It covers a range of key areas including the Police Act and related legislation, leadership and management skills, security and operational studies, and policing and investigation techniques.

The agency noted that the course is expected to strengthen the capacity of officers to carry out their duties more effectively and respond to challenges in law enforcement with greater professionalism.
