President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his gratitude to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the Malaysian government for their hospitality and generous support during his official visit to Malaysia. 

After concluding his official visit to Malaysia, President Dr Muizzu departed this morning.

He expressed his gratitude to the Malaysian Prime Minister and the Government through a post on X. 

President Dr Muizzu stated that as he concludes this official visit, he is carrying the meaningful discussions that have strengthened shared commitment to advance cooperation in health, economic development, digitalization, climate change, and regional and international cooperation.

He further highlighted the MOUs signed by the two countries in education, health, and sports. The President also noted the successful exchange of bilateral consultations and diplomatic training.

President Dr Muizzu also mentioned the productive Maldives-Malaysia Business Forum, which showcased trade and investment opportunities in the Maldives and thanked Prime Minister Anwar for honouring the Maldives at this forum. 

He further noted that this visit has opened a new era of cooperation and that he looks forward to enhancing the bonds between the two nations.
