BML and MMPRC partner to promote Maldives as premium travel destination

Bank of Maldives (BML) and the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) have formed a strategic partnership to promote the Maldives as a high-end travel destination through BML’s international partner networks.

The agreement was signed on April 30, 2025, at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, where both parties emphasised the importance of boosting the Maldives’ global tourism presence.

MMPRC Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree said the campaign would focus on delivering greater value and convenience for premium travellers. He noted the strategy aims to elevate the overall visitor experience while strengthening the Maldives’ position as a top-tier destination in key international markets.

BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the bank was excited to collaborate with MMPRC in marketing the Maldives globally. He added that the bank’s exclusive international card partnerships would support major destination marketing campaigns to enhance visibility and drive tourism growth. He confirmed the campaign would roll out in the near future.

This collaboration is expected to significantly expand the Maldives’ reach among high-value travellers and support the nation’s broader efforts to diversify its tourism offerings.
