President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed departed for Saudi Arabia this morning to perform this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.

The President and First Lady, along with the accompanying delegation, will remain in Saudi Arabia as special guests of the Saudi Government during the pilgrimage.

The delegation includes Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer; Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed; Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel and Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu, both accompanied by their spouses. They are joined by Chief Imam of the Islamic Centre His Eminence Sheikh Mohamed Latheef and his spouse, as well as Chief of Protocol Mohamed Shahudy.
