Members of the Gaafu Dhaalu Fiyoaree Council met with Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef on Sunday at the President’s Office, presenting a series of concerns related to the island’s development.

During the meeting, Council members called attention to the stalled development projects on the uninhabited islands surrounding Fiyoaree, stressing their significance to the island’s economic and social progress.

They also highlighted the urgent need for a new futsal field, noting that the existing facility has significantly deteriorated and is no longer fit for community use.

In response, the Vice President assured the Council of the Administration’s commitment to addressing the issues raised. He noted that the Government would work closely with the relevant authorities to find timely and effective solutions.
