The Bank of Maldives (BML) has clarified that Maldivians living abroad can continue to withdraw up to USD 750 per month through BML’s Foreign Limit Portal, while students abroad will retain a monthly limit of USD 1,200. Additionally, BML credit cards, travel cards, USD debit cards, and business debit cards can still be used on e-commerce platforms without extra fees, although purchases made with MVR debit cards on these sites will now incur a 30 per cent charge.
