The Bank of Maldives (BML) has concluded its annual Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) programme for girls, held this year at Gaafu Alifu Atoll Education Centre and Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre.

The programme was delivered by female staff from BML’s Technology Division and included sessions for students in grades 6 and 7. Activities featured an introduction to ICT, an overview of career opportunities in ICT and data engineering, and mentorship discussions.

As part of the initiative, a computer system was donated to each school.

Now in its third consecutive year, the programme is organised to mark International Girls in ICT Day. Previous editions have been held in Alifu Dhaalu Mahibadhoo, Fuvahmulah City and Addu City.
