The National Skills and Career Expo, branded as Vara Expo 2025, will take place from 6 to 8 November, bringing together job seekers, students, employers, higher education institutions, and training providers.

Organisers expect over 15,000 participants, making it the Maldives’ largest jobs and skills exhibition. The Expo is designed to expand opportunities for Maldivians in the labour market, strengthen workforce skills, and empower youth through digital innovation in line with government policy.

A highlight of Vara Expo 2025 will be the integration of the National Career Service (NCS) and the Higher Education Management System portals. This will allow applicants to apply for jobs, register for courses, and track applications digitally. Over 1,000 jobs and 500 education programmes are expected to be listed during the event.

The three-day Expo will feature three dedicated zones: the Career Zone, with employer booths and interview areas; the Education Provider Zone, offering access to higher education opportunities including the Ministry’s First Degree programme; and the Skills Experience Zone, where visitors can test their abilities in trades such as carpentry and electrical work.
