The General Practice Clinic in Hulhumalé Phase II, operated by Hulhumalé Hospital, has begun offering round-the-clock services, extending healthcare access for residents in the growing community.

The change was announced by Ibrahim Haleem Abdul Razzaq, Chief Executive Officer of Malé Group of Hospitals, who confirmed that the clinic will now operate 24 hours a day and will run every day of the week except Fridays.

The clinic had previously operated on a single-shift basis, restricting access to care beyond set hours. Haleem said the decision to expand into two shifts, following instructions from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, was aimed at better meeting the needs of the community.

He added that the introduction of 24-hour services would ease difficulties faced by residents of Hulhumalé Phase II in obtaining consistent medical attention. The change, he noted, is expected to bring greater reassurance and reliable healthcare to the area’s growing population.
