Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has signed an interline partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines, enabling tourists arriving on Azerbaijan Airlines flights to connect to 17 domestic destinations. Island Aviation Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas said the initiative is designed to boost Maldivian tourism and provide smoother travel options, while Azerbaijan Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Jamil noted it would improve passenger satisfaction. Azerbaijan Airlines, the national carrier of Azerbaijan, began operating to the Maldives in November and currently runs two weekly flights.
