The Ministry of Education has announced a new high school dedicated to vocational training will soon be opened, providing students with practical career pathways alongside academic studies.
Applications for enrollment are now open until the 10th of this month.
The vocational high school will offer specialised training in 10 fields:
To qualify, students must have completed Grade 10 either last year or in the current academic year, and be under 18 years of age as of December 31, 2024.
Seat allocations will be announced next Tuesday, after which applicants will receive email instructions for completing registration.
Minister of Education Dr Ismail Shafeeu urged students to seize this opportunity, highlighting that vocational high school graduates will have multiple options, including entering the workforce with practical skills, or continuing to diploma and degree programmes at the university level.
He added that the initiative seeks to end the culture of exclusion in education while shaping productive youth who uphold Islamic values and contribute positively to the nation.
