President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has begun a three-day visit to the inhabited islands of Laamu Atoll.

During the visit, the President will meet with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) to discuss development priorities and explore ways to improve community welfare. He is also scheduled to meet with residents to hear their views and concerns firsthand.

The President’s itinerary includes visits to eleven islands: Isdhoo, Kalaidhoo, Dhan’bidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Mundoo, Gan, Maavah, Fonadhoo, Maamendhoo, Hithadhoo and Kunahandhoo.

The trip is part of President Dr Muizzu’s nationwide initiative to visit all Maldivian atolls, strengthening cooperation with atoll, island and city councils to advance development across the country. His most recent atoll visit was to Shaviyani Atoll, where he travelled to 14 inhabited islands.
