Maldives Immigration has launched passport services in Thaa Guraidhoo, expanding access to the service in Thaa Atoll. With the addition of Guraidhoo, passport services are now available on three islands in the atoll, including Vilufushi, Veymandoo, and Guraidhoo. This is part of the Government’s efforts to strengthen decentralisation and improve access to essential services in the atolls. This initiative will reduce the need for residents to travel to Malé to access passport and identity services and is expected to ease the burden on applicants from other islands.
