President Dr Muizzu extends National Day greetings to UAE leadership

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended warm greetings to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the occasion of the country’s 54th National Day.

In official messages sent to the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President Dr Muizzu congratulated the nation on its national anniversary and commended the country’s development and leadership.

In his message to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President Dr Muizzu highlighted the UAE’s achievements in innovation, stability, and international engagement, noting the country’s progress under his leadership. In a separate message to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the President acknowledged Dubai’s growth as a leading global centre for innovation, business, and cultural exchange.

President Dr Muizzu reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the UAE and expressed confidence in continued cooperation between the two nations. He emphasised that Maldives–UAE relations are built on shared values and a common vision for peace and sustainable development.

The President also conveyed his greetings through a post on X, in which he congratulated the leaders and people of the UAE, noting the significance of the National Day and expressing optimism about the future of relations between the two countries.

The UAE National Day is observed annually on 2 December to mark the unification of the emirates in 1971.
