Nala Maldives by Jawakara, a newly upgraded five-star property developed by Crown & Champa Resorts, has officially opened in Lhaviyani Atoll.
The resort, formerly Innahura Maldives Resort, was inaugurated at a special ceremony held on the island, officiated by Minister of Tourism and Environment Thoriq Ibrahim and Crown & Champa Chairman Mohamed Moosa.
The reopening follows a two-year redevelopment project by Crown & Champa Resorts to elevate the property to five-star status. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Thoriq described Crown & Champa as one of the most innovative and influential contributors to the Maldives’ tourism sector, praising the company’s continued investment in high-quality hospitality experiences.
Crown & Champa Resorts CEO Mohamed Solah announced that Nala Maldives by Javakara features 80 villas, offering a mix of Romantic Beach Villas, Sunrise Beach Villas, Sunset Beach Villas and Ocean Pool Villas. Guests staying at the new property will also have access to experiences across the wider Javakara cluster.
Nala Maldives is located a 35-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport, positioned within a lagoon setting designed to highlight the natural beauty and cultural essence of the Maldives.
The resort features a broad range of amenities, including multiple premium restaurants, sports and fitness facilities, extensive water sports options, and diving at more than 50 sites. A dedicated spa, Peace Spa, has also been opened, offering personalised treatments with the Maldives’ first thermal water spa beds and full-body red-light therapy.
With the opening of Nala Maldives by Jawakara, Crown & Champa Resorts now operates 11 resorts across the Maldives.
