President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended New Year greetings to foreign heads of state, governments, and international organisations on behalf of the Maldives, celebrating the beginning of 2026 with messages of goodwill and continued cooperation.

According to the President’s Office, the greetings were conveyed in separate communications to global leaders and institutions, offering best wishes to their governments and citizens. The messages expressed confidence that the new year could bring renewed opportunities for collaboration in areas of shared interest.

The President also sent greetings to the heads and staff of international organisations, noting the importance of strengthening working relations within multilateral forums. The messages highlighted ongoing cooperation and the Maldives’ intention to continue contributing to collective efforts that support mutual development.
