People’s National Congress (PNC) Parliamentary Group Leader and Council Elections campaign manager Ibrahim Falah has stated that voting for PNC candidates in the upcoming Council Elections would be a vote for the development of the Maldives.

He made the remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of PNC’s door-to-door campaign in Malé City, launched for candidates contesting the Local Council Elections and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.

Speaking at the event, Falah highlighted PNC’s mayoral candidate for Malé City, Major General (Rtd) Moosa Ali Jaleel, stating that he would set an example in serving the people of the capital. He noted that Jaleel views President Dr Mohamed Muizzu as a role model and is committed to following the President’s approach to public service.

Falah recalled that President Dr Muizzu was elected Mayor of Malé City with the highest number of votes recorded, and urged residents to extend similar support to Jaleel in the upcoming elections.

“There is no doubt that Moosa Ali Jaleel will be an example in serving the people of Malé. There is no doubt that he will do so with sincerity, honesty and integrity,” Falah said.

Falah also backed Aishath Alaika Adnan, who is contesting for the position of President of the Women’s Development Committee, describing her as a sincere and dedicated young leader.

All PNC candidates contesting the Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections in Malé officially commenced their door-to-door campaigns today. The launch event was attended by Cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament, party candidates and members.
