President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his condolences following the passing of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) employee Ameen Abdul Hameed, who passed away while on duty.

In his message, the President conveyed condolences to the bereaved family, as well as to the staff of MPL, and prayed for eternal peace for the deceased.

MPL stated that Ameen passed away at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) while receiving treatment after suffering a seizure at work. He was employed as a senior deckhand in the Marine Craft Section of the company’s Fleet Services Department.

Ameen, who was 30 years old at the time of his passing, joined Maldives Ports Limited in 2020.
