Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has inaugurated three key services at the Dhaalu Hulhudheli Health Centre.

A special ceremony was held on Thursday to mark the launch of the services, which include the groundbreaking of a new extension building at the health centre, the commencement of laboratory services, and the expansion of operating hours from eight to 16 hours. The services were officially inaugurated by the Health Minister.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nazim said the services launched were long-standing requests from the residents of Hulhudheli. He noted that the improvements would significantly reduce the need for residents to travel to other islands to access essential healthcare services.

The laboratory service has now officially begun operations at the Hulhudheli Health Centre, in line with the Government’s commitment to establish laboratory services across all islands nationwide.

In addition, the extension of service hours to 16 hours is expected to improve access to healthcare, while the new building will address existing space constraints at the health centre and enhance service delivery for the island’s residents.
