First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has expressed her condolences following the passing of long-serving educator Aminath Hassan, also known as Ainthu Miss.
In her message, the First Lady said she was deeply saddened by the news of the passing of the beloved teacher who taught Dhivehi to hundreds of students over the years. She stated that the passing of Aminath Hassan marks a significant loss to the education sector and to Dhivehi literature.
The First Lady prayed for eternal peace for the late educator and expressed her sympathies to the bereaved family, wishing them patience during this difficult time.
Aminath Hassan served as an educator for more than three decades. Throughout her career, she made extensive efforts to nurture the national language and inspired hundreds of students. Well-versed in Dhivehi history, she dedicated much of her life to helping students understand, respect and appreciate the Maldives’ language, heritage and national identity.
