Maldivian, the national airline, has introduced lower domestic fares to enhance air connectivity across the southern region of the Maldives, with one-way tickets starting from MVR 500 from 1 February 2026. Under the revised fare structure, fares have been set at MVR 500 for flights between Gan and Fuvahmulah. Tickets for routes connecting Fuvahmulah with Kaadedhdhoo and Kooddoo will be priced at MVR 650, while fares between Gan and Kaadedhdhoo and between Gan and Kooddoo have been fixed at MVR 900. The airline said the move is aimed at improving affordability and strengthening travel links between southern islands.
