The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has instructed all parties occupying land in the Maafannu Stadium area to vacate by 7 February 2026.

In a statement issued on Thursday, FAM said it will not be held responsible for any damage to property, vehicles, or temporary structures remaining within the premises after the deadline.

FAM said the land had not been vacated despite notices issued more than 14 days ago. The association noted that the land had been allocated to various parties by the previous management without the approval or authorisation of the current administration.

The association reiterated that the deadline to vacate the land is 7 February 2026, warning that any property left behind after this date will be at the owner’s risk.

The current management has not endorsed any land allocations at Maafannu Stadium. However, some individuals currently operating on the land have claimed that agreements were made under the previous administration..

The Maafannu Stadium area land has been allocated to FAM by the Government for a period of 50 years for the development of football infrastructure and related activities.
