The redraw of plots at Giraavaru Falhu began on Saturday morning following amendments to the site’s land use plan.
The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure revised the land use plan after identifying a shortfall of 610 plots under the previous allocation. Under the amended plan, a total of 4,072 plots will now be allocated at Giraavaru Falhu.
Under the new allocation, the plots include 2,603 plots measuring 1,250 square feet, 1,214 plots of 1,650 square feet, 254 plots of 2,050 square feet, and one plot measuring 2,450 square feet.
The Ministry said details on the signing of land transfer agreements and the handover of land registry documents will be announced at a later date following the completion of the draw.
Meanwhile, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu announced on Friday morning that land reclamation works at Giraavaru Falhu have commenced.
