Bank of Maldives (BML) has inaugurated its new branch in Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo.

The new branch was officially opened by Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer at a special ceremony held in Kudahuvadhoo. The event was attended by BML officials, members of the Atoll Council and Island Council, as well as residents of the island.

The newly built branch replaces the original Kudahuvadhoo branch and strengthens the Bank’s ability to serve the growing needs of Kudahuvadhoo and nearby islands.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Zameer said President Dr Mohamed Muizzu prioritises ensuring essential services are accessible to people within their own islands. He noted that the new branch would significantly benefit the residents of Kudahuvadhoo, one of the most populous islands in the atoll.

The newly opened BML branch in Kudahuvadhoo operates on a paperless, digital banking system and provides banking services to both individuals and businesses in compliance with Islamic Shariah principles.

Services offered at the branch include account opening, loan issuance and card services during official banking hours. In line with BML branches established across the atolls, the Kudahuvadhoo branch also offers 24-hour cash withdrawal and deposit services, as well as bill payment and fund transfer facilities through self-service banking channels.
