Vice President of the People’s National Congress Party and the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Ahmed Shiyam, has assured that relief for the residents of Malé City can be achieved with the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan developed by the President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, during his tenure as mayor. 

Speaking at the opening of the PNC’s Central Henveiru campaign booth, Minister Shiyam noted that residents of islands and cities are working tirelessly to appoint councillors and mayors backed by the PNC, as they trust the Administration to deliver promises. He said this confidence stems from President Dr Muizzu’s track record of sharing development plans with communities and ensuring projects move forward.

Minister highlighted that during his mayorship, President Dr Muizzu demonstrated transparency and commitment, setting an example for the nation. He pointed to the Strategic Action Plan as the President’s key initiatives, designed to tackle major issues such as housing, road development, and congestion in the city. 

He added that the President continues to work closely with residents to resolve housing challenges, underscoring his role as a leader who fulfils promises and delivers results.
