The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced that the Ramadan Market established in Hulhumalé Phase II will open on the first day of Ramadan.

The market has been set up between Vinares Tower 8 and the temporary mosque in the area, providing convenient access for residents of Phase II.

HDC stated that the initiative is part of its annual Ramadan preparations. Each year, the corporation undertakes several activities to facilitate residents during the holy month, including arrangements to improve access to essential food items. The temporary market has been organised to ensure that households in Hulhumalé Phase II can easily purchase fresh produce and other necessities.

The corporation confirmed that work is currently underway to finalise stall allocations and complete logistical arrangements ahead of the opening.

Stalls will be issued free of charge to vendors. A total of 24 stalls have been arranged, with sellers expected to offer fish, fruits, vegetables and other locally produced food items.
