President joins PNC door-to-door campaign in South Maafannu --
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu joined the door-to-door campaign organised by the People’s National Congress (PNC) in Malé’s Maafannu South constituency ahead of the upcoming local council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
The President visited several households in the area, meeting residents and listening to their concerns. He also shared the Government’s vision and key policy ideas with the public during the visits.
While interacting with residents and members of the public along the streets, President Dr Muizzu greeted supporters and heard concerns raised by citizens. He assured them that the Government would take the necessary steps to address the issues raised and work towards resolving them.
Major General (Retired) Moosa Ali Jaleel, who is contesting for the position of Mayor of Malé City, accompanied the President during the campaign. Also present was Ashiyath Alaika Adnan, who is contesting for the presidency of the Women’s Development Committee in the Malé area, along with other candidates seeking positions in the constituency.
Cabinet Ministers and senior figures from the party leadership also took part in the campaign activities.
The PNC is continuing its campaign efforts nationwide ahead of the elections. So far, the party has secured several uncontested seats, including 28 council seats and 41 Women’s Development Committee seats, giving it a total of 69 seats without a vote.
