The last sitting of the ongoing session of the 20th of the ongoing session for the year is set to conclude today, following a continuation aimed at addressing pending legislative business.

Parliament speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla announced the commencement of the session, stating that it would continue until all scheduled business is completed. Several legislative items remain on the agenda for today’s proceedings.

This session, originally concluded on November 30, was adjourned until December 15 by a vote of members to allow for the completion of unfinished tasks.

Currently in its third term, this session marks the last of the Parliamentary year, closing a period of legislative activity.
