Austrian Airlines has completed 30 years of operations to the Maldives, with a special event held at Velana International Airport (VIA) to commemorate the milestone. The airline’s anniversary flight, carrying 328 passengers, was welcomed at the airport, while 324 passengers were presented with gifts to celebrate the occasion.

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) said the event highlighted the long-standing partnership between the airline and VIA, as well as Austrian Airlines’ contribution to strengthening tourism and bilateral ties between the Maldives and Austria through three decades of uninterrupted service.
