The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has announced that the distribution of 50 tonnes of dates donated by Saudi Arabia will be completed before the start of next year’s Ramadan.

In a tweet shared on X, Minister Shaheem confirmed that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs had received the generous donation and is working to ensure the dates are distributed in time for the holy month.

A portion of the dates will be allocated to organisations hosting iftar in mosques, providing much-needed support to the local Muslim community during Ramadan.
