President Dr Mohamed Muizzu held a meeting with the Fenfushi Island Council and the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) to address the island’s key challenges and development priorities. 

The Council raised several pressing concerns, including the difficulties in docking vessels and the absence of a purpose-built area for preparing the deceased on the island. The Council also requested the establishment of an additional volleyball court and the completion of the island’s water and sewerage system.

In response, President Dr Muizzu assured the attendees that these concerns will be addressed in order of priority.

Additionally, Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President provided updates on ongoing development projects in Fenfushi, offering insights into the Government’s efforts to effectively meet the island’s needs.

The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Dhan'gethi Council in South Ari Atoll.
