A new Police Station has been officially inaugurated in Raa Innamaadhoo, signifying the completion of the nationwide initiative to establish police services in all inhabited islands of the Maldives. The facility was inaugurated by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan during a special ceremony held on the island on 13 November. Speaking at the event, Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen described the achievement as a major step in fulfilling President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s vision of strengthening public safety and ensuring closer community policing across the country.

During the ceremony, Minister Ihusaan also launched a book documenting the establishment of police services across all inhabited islands and presented certificates of appreciation to 13 officers who contributed to the efforts. The Minster was also presented with a plaque of recognition for his leadership in the initiative.
