President extends condolences to Saudi Arabia over deadly Aramco helicopter crash

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his condolences to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, following the Saudi Aramco helicopter crash that claimed the lives of all 14 people on board.
In his message, President Dr Muizzu expressed profound sorrow over the tragic incident and, on behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, conveyed his deepest condolences to the Crown Prince, the Government, and the people of Saudi Arabia.
The President reaffirmed the Maldives' solidarity with the Kingdom during this difficult time and extended his thoughts and prayers to the bereaved families, wishing them strength, patience and comfort as they mourn their loss.
The helicopter crashed in Ras Tanura, in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, at around 6:00 a.m. local time on Sunday. Saudi state media reported that all 14 passengers and crew, who were Saudi nationals, died in the crash.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy has also expressed its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.
