The Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare has opened recruitment for 26 therapists to strengthen healthcare services in Malé and the atolls.
The ministry announced that vacancies are available for six speech therapists, 10 occupational therapists and 10 psychotherapists.
Successful candidates will be deployed to health service providers across the country. The ministry said speech therapists and occupational therapists will receive a basic salary of over MVR 12,000, while psychotherapists will receive a basic salary of over MVR 17,000, in addition to overtime allowances in line with the State pay framework.
Interested applicants have until 30 July to submit their applications.
In this year's Presidential Address, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu identified therapy services as one of the most understaffed areas in the country's healthcare system. He also announced plans to recruit 50 foreign therapists to address the immediate shortage while efforts continue to build local capacity.
