The Maldives will host the Regional Green Economy Forum 2026 later this month, bringing together regional and international stakeholders to discuss sustainable development and climate resilience.
The two-day forum, organised by the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy in collaboration with the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO) and the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), will be held from 29 to 30 July at Kurumba Maldives.
Held under the theme "Shaping a Sustainable and Resilient Future for the Asia-Pacific," the forum will convene government representatives, international organisations, private-sector leaders and environmental experts to explore strategies to advance the green economy across the region.
Key discussions will focus on supporting Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and coastal economies, promoting green investment, strengthening public-private partnerships, advancing digital and technological innovation, and accelerating the implementation of the Blue Economy Roadmap.
The forum will also help shape regional priorities ahead of COP31 and the World Green Economy Summit.
The Ministry has opened registration for participants through a QR code shared on its official social media platforms.
