State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) will begin major power network upgrade works in Hulhumalé Phase II as part of efforts to improve electricity services in the area.

STELCO said the works are scheduled to take place from 21 July to 31 July following the official handover of Hulhumalé Phase II's electricity distribution network. The upgrade is intended to improve the quality and reliability of electricity services provided to residents.

The company said technical upgrade works on the network will require temporary power interruptions in different parts of Hulhumalé Phase II while the project is carried out.

STELCO apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers and said the works are necessary to improve the standard of electricity services over the long term. The company also thanked customers for their patience and cooperation during the upgrade period.
