The Ministry of Social and Family Development has issued an urgent plea against sharing photos and videos that could compromise children's dignity on social media.

The Ministry expressed serious concern over content that enables public identification of children, whether directly or indirectly.

Under Article 33 of the Child Rights Protection Act, sharing children's personal information is strictly forbidden, especially regarding minors involved in criminal cases either as suspects or victims. The ban covers names, addresses, educational details, photographs, videos, and any information that could identify children through any medium.

The legislation places responsibility for protecting children's rights jointly on families, parents, guardians, society, and state institutions. Law enforcement and related agencies strongly advise the public to report sensitive matters to relevant authorities rather than sharing content on social media.

For related concerns, the public can contact the Ministry via its dedicated hotlines: 1433, 1421, or 1412.
