The State Electric Company (STELCO) has initiated the construction of a Mechanical Training Centre in K. Thulusdhoo.

Entirely designed and executed by STELCO employees, the initiative demonstrates the organisation’s capability to manage complex infrastructure developments independently.

Currently under development, the training centre highlights the meticulous planning and design skills of STELCO’s team. 

Speaking about the project on X, STELCO’s Managing Director, Hussain Fahmy, stated that it reflects the commitment and hard work of the company’s workforce.

He emphasised that the facility will play a vital role in advancing mechanical training in the Maldives while serving as a prime example of self-reliant infrastructure development.
