Seafarers are advised to exercise caution, as seas will remain moderately rough in the southern and central parts of the country. Wave heights are expected to range from 3 to 6 feet nationwide.

The MET Office reported that the heaviest rainfall in the past 24 hours was recorded in K. Dhiffushi, which received 77 mm of rainfall.

The current rainfall is attributed to a circulation and its trough in the eastern part of the Maldives. While conditions are expected to remain severe today, the rainfall is forecasted to ease by tomorrow.

Residents and seafarers are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during this period of severe weather.
