Minister of Higher Education, Labour, and Skills Development, Dr Ali Haidar Ahmed, has departed to Saudi Arabia on an official visit.

The visit, aimed at attending the Global Labour Market Conference, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from January 28 to 30, 2025.

The conference will bring together over 45 ministers from across the globe, as well as business leaders, legislators, and labour experts, to discuss key issues affecting the global workforce. 

Topics of discussion will include how to align the labour market with technological advancements, as well as strategies for addressing unemployment among youth and older workers.

Additionally, the conference will focus on adapting the labour market to modern challenges, such as promoting employment in environmentally sustainable industries.
