Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) will implement stricter controls on fuel distribution from its sheds in Male' and Hulhumale' starting next month, the company announced today.

Under the new policy, customers seeking bottle refills must present their national ID cards and will be limited to three litres per day. For marine vessels, jerry can refills will be capped at 80 litres daily, with distribution contingent upon proper vessel registration documentation.

The revised guidelines, which take effect from the first of next month, aim to enhance safety standards and improve service efficiency at FSM's petrol sheds.

FSM officials stated that these measures were necessary to streamline the fuel distribution process and ensure better service delivery to customers. The new system will apply to all land vehicle refuelling stations operated by the company in both Male' and Hulhumale'.
